The Career Learning Lab (formerly CCPD) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (JJCC) seeks to renew the annual subscription licensing for VMOCK, an artificial intelligence (AI) based platform that provides professional resume, cover letter and interview preparation for students. The 6-person staffing capacity of the Career Learning Lab creates barriers to successfully serving the full JJCC undergraduate and graduate student body of approximately 15,0000. VMOCK offers the ability to efficiently, scale the reach of the CLL staff by using an online, AI platform to support the career readiness our students and alumni. Additionally, CLL can create customized resume, cover letter and interview templates designed to align with the student’s and or alumni’s career industry of interest (i.e. Technology, Finance, Media, Consulting, etc.). Unlike other platforms that require high level of management and monitoring by CLL staff, VMOCK allows students to engage in meaningful career preparation activities independently, based on their availability (24/7), and with minimal support from a CLL staff member. Consequently, students can learn, practice, and prepare for career advising appointments, interviews and other networking opportunities through this AI based career readiness platform.
VMOCK complements CLL staff’s career readiness content, including resume, cover letter, elevator pitch and interview preparation. It unifies career content delivery to students and alumni by creating a standardized foundation for career conversations across departments. CLL will use data from VMOCK to develop tailored career interventions based on the platform's assessment of student needs.
VMOCK is a web-based software that will not need a physical space or hardware.
VMOCK ensures quality career readiness for all JJCC students, enhancing collaboration across admissions, academic advising, departments, and cohort programs. It attracts and retains students focused on career planning and provides equitable access to career preparation for students and alumni. VMOCK expands CLL staff's reach, increasing our ability to serve the entire campus.
No maintenance required.
