Prosecution Clinic Details

Description

The Pre-Law Institute (PLI) and the Department of Political Science partner with multiple Prosecutors Offices across New York City to provide an invaluable clinical experience for some of John Jay College's brightest undergraduates. Students will intern one day per week, working side by side with Prosecutors and paralegals in the Kings County District Attorney's office, the Bronx District Attorney's Office, or the US Attorney's Office, Southern District in Manhattan. Students will develop practical skills and insights that will contribute to their personal, professional, and academic development. Moreover, the course will be taught by an attorney, Sherry Marcus Cohen, who has served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County DA's Office in Brooklyn and the Chief of Recruitment at the Bronx DA's Office. Prof. Marcus Cohen will serve as a Professional in Residence and the instructor for the semester.
